As previously indicated, Christian Koloko missed the 2023–24 season because of a blood clot problem, which must have been a frightening circumstance for the now 24-year-old. Back in January, the youthful center was forced to be waived by the Raptors. The Toronto Raptors’ trade of Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers was the cause of this. The Raptors acquired Jordan Nwora, Bruce Brown, and Kira Lewis Jr. in addition to future draft picks. Koloko was waived to free up a spot on the roster for the deal.

Although it’s not official yet, there’s a potential Koloko can play again in the 2024–2025 season. Blake Murphy of SportsNet reports that Koloko’s medical clearance to return to action has been given. The product of Cameroon has been participating in free agency showcases with other NBA free agents, he adds. Although it is promising news, he still needs to be cleared by the NBA’s fitness to play panel.
