As of this writing, the Jacksonville Jaguars are one of just two NFL clubs without a win after Week 4. The other team without a win is the Tennessee Titans, but they will have an opportunity to change that on Monday Night Football. The Jaguars may therefore be the NFL’s final team without a win. This is a quick route to selling at the trade deadline rather than purchasing.
Over the next month, the interchangeable players could change from week to week depending on general manager Trent Balke’s intentions. Nevertheless, these two players may be leaving Jacksonville after just one month.
TE Evan Engram
In September, Evan Engram became thirty years old, according to Pro Football Reference. Most fans are aware that when they reach that milestone, they should expect injuries or a decline in output. Engram was unfortunate enough to sustain an injury early in the season. In just one game, he has seen snaps. After one of his best seasons to date, the Jaguars would be wise to send him go for some trade capital and give him time to heal.
Travis Etienne, RB
The team’s running back is reaching the end of his rookie deal. That wouldn’t have changed much not too long ago for players like Etienne who had seasons with 1000 yards or more. The Jaguars, though, will probably be reluctant to give Etienne a large contract after paying Trevor Lawrence and being rewarded with a 0–4 start to the season.
This could be the running back’s worst season to date. He might be considered as a trade option to help rebuild the offense and save the team money down the road, depending on how the next few weeks play out.In addition, Etienne, who turns 26 in January, may be nearing the end of his peak running back career. For the next few years, the Jacksonville Jaguars won’t have to worry about whether or not a poor game is simply that after sending him away.
