This marks Texas’s third World Series appearance and their first since consecutive appearances in 2010 and 2011. Despite the game being held in Houston, Rangers fans gathered at a watch party inside Globe Life Field.
Jordan Contreras, 24, said, “It means everything to me. It’s a dream come true for both me and my brother.”

The Texas Rangers are heading to the World Series after a decisive 11-4 win over the reigning Houston Astros in Game 7 of the AL Championship Series on Monday night. This will be the Rangers’ third World Series appearance, and their first since their back-to-back appearances in 2010 and 2011.
Despite the game being held in Houston, many Rangers fans attended a watch party at Globe Life Field. Jordan Contreras, 24, expressed his excitement, saying, “It means everything to me. It’s a childhood dream for me and my brother.” His younger brother, Joshua Contreras, 21, shared his enthusiasm as well, noting, “It’s an amazing journey. We should have had this from Game 4, but it’s OK. We got it at Game 7, so the dub is all we needed.”
Early in the game, the Rangers scored three runs and quickly forced Astros starter Cristian Javier out after just one out.
The Rangers’ slugger was involved in a dramatic moment during the series: In Game 5, García was struck by a 98.8 mph fastball from pitcher Bryan Abreu, which seemed to be in retaliation for a home run celebration earlier in the game.
This incident led to both teams clearing their benches, and Abreu was ejected. The Astros pitcher also received a two-game suspension, which will start with his next two regular season games.
