LSU sophomore Mikaylah Williams has been selected for the USA U23 3×3 Basketball Team, which will compete in the FIBA 3×3 U23 Nations League in September.

The tournament will take place from July 22-28 in Mexico City.

Williams, the reigning USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year, brings extensive 3×3 experience to the team, having previously played on the U18 team. She has been named MVP at the FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cups three times in a row.

Former LSU teammate Hailey Van Lith is part of the U.S. 3×3 basketball team for the Paris Olympics.

Williams, who was named the 2024 Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year, is preparing for her second season at LSU.

In her standout freshman season, she averaged 14.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. Her 493 points and 98 assists rank sixth among freshmen in LSU history. Her season highlights include a 42-point game against Kent State, the highest by a freshman in the NCAA era at LSU.
