It’s probable that the Green Bay Packers will be busy in the next weeks.
With only two games played so far this season, Green Bay is 2-2, but there is plenty of optimism for 2024. The Packers, who are not at full strength, have managed to maintain a.500 record this season. If it can maintain its health for the remainder of the season, Green Bay is on the right track and might pose a challenge in the NFC.
On Sunday, the Packers will play their fifth and final game of the season against the Los Angeles Rams. Despite losing 31-29 to the Minnesota Vikings, who were unbeaten going into Week 4, Green Bay demonstrated a great deal of resilience in their comeback.
The crew will be watching this closely over the following two weeks. The Packers may try to bolster their roster in the run-up to the Nov. 5 trade deadline if they can put up some victories. It’s possible that some players are leaving town.
Running back Chris Brooks was listed by Zach Pressnell of FanSided in a list of three players who might not be with the team beyond the trade deadline.
“The Green Bay Packers have a pretty solid running back room when everybody is healthy,” Pressnell stated. Leading them is Josh Jacobs, the team’s bell-cow running back who absorbs the majority of the touches. In Green Bay, Jacobs always takes the lead, regardless of who is well. Currently, Lloyd is on the (Injured Reserve).
In his place, Chris Brooks is now the team’s RB3.
“As the season progresses, the Packers running back room has a few distinct outcomes, but none of them have Brooks on the roster. Obviously, Brooks will be released or placed on the practice squad if Lloyd is fit and ready to go when the season returns. To improve their depth, the Packers will probably target a seasoned running back in free agency or through a trade if Lloyd is unable to make a comeback. However, neither choice involves Brooks playing for the team through the end of the season.”
