The St. Louis Cardinals appear to be poised to make some significant adjustments this winter.

With an 83-79 record at the end of the 2024 season, St. Louis is beginning to raise the possibility that it may rebuild its team. The organization has already announced that Paul Goldschmidt, the first baseman, will not return in 2025.

There’s been some conjecture that the team would also deal away one or more stars in order to acquire assets before the 2025 season. If St. Louis is truly rebuilding, star third baseman Nolan Arenado would be a great candidate to be traded.

Josh Jacobs of FanSided suggested the Los Angeles Dodgers as a potential landing point in a trade as a result.

The organization may trade one or more stars in order to acquire assets prior to the 2025 season, according to some speculation. For that reason, Josh Jacobs of FanSided proposed the Los Angeles Dodgers as a possible landing spot in a deal.

“I think Los Angeles would be the clear betting favorite if Arenado were dealt. However, if I had to choose two additional teams, the Houston Astros and New York Yankees would be my choices.”

Arenado has already been connected to Los Angeles, so if he’s available, it would be astonishing if the team wasn’t involved in some capacity.
