Gray, an Olympian and All-Star, missed significant time due to a left foot injury sustained in last season’s WNBA Finals. She made her season debut on June 19, contributing seven assists in a win over the Seattle Storm, marking the turning point for the Aces. Coach Becky Hammon praised Gray’s strategic acumen and adaptability on the court, which proved vital during the game against the Mystics. Despite A’ja Wilson struggling in the first half, Gray stepped up, scoring a season-high 22 points and driving the Aces to a comeback victory.
