Newcastle United are said to be ‘likely’ to secure a deadline day transfer, as negotiations with Nottingham Forest for Anthony Elanga are ‘moving swiftly.’
Following their failure to acquire Crystal Palace and England defender Marc Guehi, a report on Thursday evening suggested that Newcastle United are ‘unlikely to make any further signings’ before the transfer window ends on Friday night.

Newcastle are rumored to be exploring potential signings and might make a surprising move on deadline day.
As the Magpies consider a possible transfer for Man City midfielder Matheus Nunes, they are also looking at signing Elanga.
Newcastle was strongly linked with Elanga earlier this summer, but discussions about this move had recently quieted.
The Sweden international transferred from Manchester United to Nottingham Forest last summer for approximately £15m and had a standout debut season, scoring five goals and providing nine assists in the Premier League.
