Auburn aims to address this with a more experienced line, featuring four seniors and Mississippi State transfer left tackle Percy Lewis. Lewis, known for his 6-foot-7 stature and strength, could enhance the passing game and give Thorne more time in the pocket.
The wide receiver corps was also problematic, with Thorne struggling to find a reliable target. No receiver surpassed 500 yards, and tight end Rivaldo Fairweather led the team with 394 yards.

Nix, formerly the running backs and later the wide receivers coach for the Rebels, has a strong history of developing NFL talent, including Elijah Moore, Malik Heath, and Jonathan Mingo. With Nix’s expertise, the Auburn offense should reach its full potential and create a favorable environment for Payton Thorne.
