The Indiana Fever are returning from the Olympic break in strong form. Following a win against the Phoenix Mercury, the Fever secured their second consecutive victory with a 92-75 win over the Seattle Storm.
Fever guard Caitlin Clark has just returned from her first vacation in over a year. She recently set a new rookie guard record with her 10th double-double, scoring 29 points and dishing out 10 assists against the Mercury. She also added 22 points and 9 assists in the game against the Storm, breaking the WNBA’s rookie season record for assists.
With 12 regular-season games remaining, Fever head coach Christie Sides needs Caitlin Clark, who leads the league with 8.3 assists per game, to participate in all of them. Following Clark’s fifth technical foul of the season in the game against the Storm, she is now just two fouls away from a one-game suspension. After the game, Sides made it clear how she plans to address the situation with Clark.
