In the world of college basketball, transfer portal frenzy has come and gone, and now that everything has calmed, Tennessee appears to be a top ten team once more. The Volunteers lost Tobe Awaka and Jonas Aidoo in the portal’s first round of losses. Josiah-Jordan James, Dalton Knecht, Santiago Vescovi, and Reserves Freddie Dilione and DJ Jefferson all departed the program, and their eligibility expired.
Rick Barnes and his team got out to an early lead with lots of playing time and open roster spots. They picked up Igor Milicic and Darlinstone Dubar with relative speed, adding length and shooting. Felix Okpara, a real rim protector, was added by Tennessee, and Chaz Lanier, a star guard, completed the transfer class.

No. 38: Chaz Lanier, the guard
Lanier, a prolific scorer who increased his average from 4.5 points as a junior to 19.7 points as a senior, was named to the first team of the ASUN this past season. made 44% of his 3-point attempts. As ESPN
Lanier, who is 6-4, is originally from the Nashville region. Surprisingly, Lanier averaged less than five points per game while playing as a genuine reserve guard for three seasons at North Florida. But in his senior year, the light went on. Lanier shot 44 percent from three-point range and his stats skyrocketed to around 20 points each game. Tennessee is hoping that Knoxville’s rapid expansion keeps up, maybe with Lanier taking over where Dalton Knecht left off.
Wing Darlinstone Dubar, No. 73
Dubar will be in high demand due to his stature and outside shooting skills. made 40% of his 3-pointers while averaging 17.8 points and 6.8 rebounds. had an 8 and 24 versus Duke. As ESPN
