All eyes will be on former Florida State star wide receiver Keon Coleman when the Buffalo Bills face off against the Chicago Bears on August 10 at 1:00 p.m. Coleman, a second-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, arrives with significant hype and a larger-than-life personality. His engaging on-camera presence and wholesome attitude have won over the Bills Mafia fanbase and beyond.

Opelousas, LA native Keon Coleman led the Seminoles in receiving yards and touchdowns last season. Now, he faces the challenge of stepping into the roles left by former Bills stars Stefon Diggs, who was traded to the Houston Texans, and Gabe Davis, who joined the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency. Diggs had 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns last season, while Davis contributed 746 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023.
Despite this, Coleman remains unfazed about replacing the Bills’ former star wide receivers. In a recent interview with former Seminole and sports personality Bryant McFadden, Coleman emphasized he doesn’t feel any pressure stepping into the shoes of a four-time Pro Bowler.
“Not at all,” Coleman told McFadden. “All I do is come in and be myself, be where I’m supposed to be. The play is gonna make itself; all I gotta do is just be in the moment. Because I’m not Gabe, I’m not Stef, I’m just Keon. We got a lot of other guys that definitely complement my game and we complement each other’s games, along with Josh, to make things work.”
Coleman’s confidence is rooted in his family and support system, and he consistently emphasizes staying humble while pursuing his dreams. Although his 4.61 40-yard dash at the combine didn’t impress, he reached a top speed of 20.36 MPH in the gauntlet drill, the fastest for a receiver in the last two seasons.
His highlight reel shows why FSU head coach Mike Norvell and receivers coach Ron Dugans valued him so highly. An early standout in last year’s fall camp, his NFL potential was clear.
Joining a talented receiver corps and catching passes from two-time Pro Bowler Josh Allen will enhance his chances of making an immediate impact in Buffalo. Coleman will also team up with James Cook, brother of FSU legend Dalvin Cook, contributing to a powerful Bills offense in the AFC East.
